Regional Vaccination Centre – The SSE Arena Belfast

26th March 2021

The Covid-19 Vaccination Centre at SSE Arena Belfast opens its doors on Monday 29 March. We are currently vaccinating those aged 50 and over on 31 March 2021.  It would help us greatly if you can arrange to arrive at the centre not more than 10 minutes before  your scheduled appointment time, to prevent excessive queues forming, so it is important to plan your journey.  As only a limited amount of car parking is available in the car park opposite the arena, Translink has worked with the Department of Infrastructure and the South Eastern Trust to provide a number of free and safe public transport options:

  • Europa Buscentre –  free shuttle bus, every 15 minutes from 07.45 – 20.15
  • Northside Park&Ride to SSE Arena – free shuttle bus every 10 minutes from 07.40 – 20.20
  • G2 Glider services to operate every 15-minutes from the city centre.
  • Train to Titanic Quarter station, a short walk from the SSE Arena.
  • Car parks within the City Centre can be used for park and walk, or to link with the free shuttle service from Europa Buscentre.

Translink has procedures in place to ensure your journey is safe.  Taking the bus may be quicker as parking is extremely limited and with thousands of people expected to travel to the centre over the coming weeks, rising to a potential forty thousand people a week as the vaccine programme rolls out, it is important there is good traffic management to ensure everyone gets to their appointment on time.

Please remember to bring your photo ID and your Health&Care number to your appointment. When you enter the building, it is very important you wear a face mask (unless you are exempt), sanitise your hands and maintain social distancing as guided by the floor markings. Please do not attend if you have symptoms, instead arrange to get a Covid test.

Marshalls will be on duty to direct you to your vaccination station, and will be able to help you if you need assistance.

After your vaccination you will be directed to a waiting area and observed for 15 minutes. Then you can proceed to the check -out desk where you will be given your second appointment date, before exiting the building.

Please only attend the Covid-19 Vaccination Centre if you have an appointment. To book online, or for further information, please go to covid-19.hscni.net
