With less than a week to go until the big day, Santa paid a very special visit to children and families from Scrabo Children’s Centre at the Ards Hospital.
Senior Social Worker with the Children’s Disability Team at the Centre, Claire Simpson, described the magical afternoon as a “huge success!”
“We organised the event so that some of our children and their parents could come and see Santa. Some of our children that have disabilities are unable to attend Santa experiences, so we arranged for the main man to come to us even though he has a very busy schedule at this time of year.
“The children and their families were delighted to have a visit from Santa which really added to the excitement in the run up to Christmas. We want to thank all those families who came, House Church in Newtownards for use of their venue and refreshments and for Toy Town in Newtownards for their generous donation of gifts.”
