User Groups and Forums

You can get involved by being a member of a Trust user/carer group. The core purpose of a user group is to allow service users (patients/clients/carers/relatives) to work in partnership with members of staff within the South Eastern HSC Trust. Within the South Eastern HSC Trust there are a number of service user groups including two Trust User Forums.

Service User Network

The Trust Service User Network is an established group of individuals who have a keen interest in the standard and quality of the health and social service provided by the Trust and work in partnership with Trust staff to advance a user’s perspective in planning, delivery and evaluating services.

Existing Network Members are active in a number of general issues such as:

  • Working with the Trust to review and improve the quality of health and care services
  • Contribute to the design of new buildings
  • Taking part in cleanliness audits
  • Providing a patient perspective on strategic documents/information leaflets
  • Membership of Trust Committees

We are always interested to hear the views of service users and keen to recruit new members for these forums. If you would like more information about the Trust User Forums, please contact the Involvement & Experience Team by email: involvement@setrust.hscni.net

You can also get involved by joining the Patient Client Council Membership Scheme, click here for more info.
