Patient, Resident and Client Catering

Catering is provided throughout South Eastern H&SC Trust for patients, residents and clients.  Menus are designed in conjunction with service users, speech and language teams and dietitians, ensuring variety for a range of needs and tastes. Allergen information is available for all menus and recipes and catering staff are trained in preparation and service of meals to those with allergies, allowing us to cater for those with allergies. Click here to learn about our Allergen Policy.

For those patients who miss a meal, we have snack menus available.

Staff and Visitor Catering

Staff and visitor catering is available throughout our hospitals and offers freshly prepared, healthy meals and snacks for our customers.  Staff and visitor catering and vending services are created with in line with Nutritional Standards. Click here to learn more.

All of our catering is purchased, prepared, stored and served to the highest hygiene standards, taking into account the vulnerability of many of our patients, residents and clients.

Catering & Shop Locations in the Downe Hospital

The Downe Hospital Restaurant is open to staff, patients and visitors. It provides a large selection of hot food, salads, snacks and drinks.

The restaurant is open:

Monday- Sunday: 9.30am- 6.00pm.

Hot food is served

Breakfast, 9.30am- 11.00am
Lunch, 12.15pm- 2.00pm
Dinner, 4.30pm- 5.30pm
