Urgent Care Centre – Lagan Valley Hospital

The Urgent Care Centre operates from 8.00am -6.00pm (Monday – Friday).  The Urgent Care Centre is closed at weekends. The entrance is at the front and to the left of the main hospital entrance, and is clearly marked. Car parking is adjacent.

The Urgent Care Centre is a PHONE FIRST SERVICE. ALL patients should call (028) 9260 4643 prior to attending. Patients will be assessed over the phone and offered an appointment at Lagan Valley Hospital Urgent Care Centre or referred to a local pharmacy, GP or directed to an appropriate Emergency Department.

From 6.00pm – 8.00am (Monday – Friday), the Urgent Care Centre closes and during those hours you should go to an alternative hospital with a 24 hour emergency department, such as the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald which is within this Trust, or the Royal Victoria or Mater Hospitals in Belfast.

Alternatively, patients can contact GP Out of Hours from 6.00pm and at weekends.  It is advised to telephone first to make sure you access the appropriate care. The number is Tel: (028) 9260 2204

If you are seriously ill, phone 999 for an ambulance, as normal. The ambulance will take you to an appropriate hospital.

Medical patients can still be admitted to Lagan Valley Hospital at night by GPs.
