Shopmobility Belfast works in partnership with the Ulster Hospital and is located at the old main entrance to the Ulster Hospital. The service is available for registered members only. The service provides assistance to people with mobility needs in accessing the hospital site and works with the Patient Experience help desk who assists with information and portering.
The Shop Mobility Service is manned at the front desk from 9am until 5pm Mondays to Fridays by shop mobility staff and volunteers. The service is free to join and application forms are available at the front desk to join or telephone: 02895988034

Shopmobility at the Ulster Hospital Service Information
Shopmobility provide electric scooters and wheel chairs to meet the mobility needs of staff, visitors and service users e.g. attending out patients’ clinics and carers and relatives vising inpatient wards etc. The service is free to join and use for people with limited permanent or temporary mobility needs. Through Shop mobility’s “Meet and Greet Service”, members can arrange by telephone to be met by shop Mobility staff with an electric scooter or wheel chair at the bus terminus at the front of the hospital site, at any of the Hospital’s car parks, disabled car parks or drop off points around the Ulster Hospital Site, including the new Inpatient Ward Block (IWB).
Shopmobility staff is trained to give assistance to service users getting in and out of their vehicle. Shopmobility staff can accompany service users to their destination around the site, including the New Ward Block. We can provide a map and pass for users to go from the old hospital to the IWB through the link corridor without the need to go outside. Shopmobility staff can arrange to return for the service user and assist them in returning to their vehicle, pick up points and bus terminus.

Shopmobility Service is advertised through the trust Facebook page with information and promotional videos and advertising leaflets and posters in all service user areas in the hospital. This service is also advertised at other Shopmobility Belfast Centres.
