Trust Structure

Trust Board

The Board of the South Eastern Trust is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the Trust’s activities. It is accountable, through the chairman, to the Permanent Secretary at the Department of Health, and ultimately to the Minister for Health.

Trust Board is made up of a Non-Executive Chairman, seven Non-Executive Directors, the Chief Executive and four other Executive Directors (the Medical Director, the Director of Finance, Contracts & Estates, the Executive Director of Nursing and the Executive Director of Social Work) with the remaining members of the Executive Management Team in attendance at each meeting.  The Minister of Health appoints Non-Executive Directors via a Public Appointments process.

The Trust Board meets approximately 8 times per year and anyone can attend.
