Professor Stephen J. Kirk M.D, B.Ch., B.A.O., F.R.C.S.I., FRCSP (Glas)
Stephen Kirk was appointed Medical Director in November 2025 having been a Consultant Surgeon (General, Breast & Endocrine) at the Ulster Hospital since April 1993. Previously he was Clinical Director for Cancer Services (2005 -2018) and Associate Medical Director (2018-2025).
Stephen trained in N. Ireland, Baltimore and Cardiff prior to taking up his post in the Ulster Hospital. Stephen was awarded the title of Hon Professor at Queens University Belfast in 2018. He maintains an interest in Medical Student teaching in addition to clinical research. Current research interests involve the consent process.
As an Executive Director, Stephen is also a Member of Trust Board.
