The “Friends of Bayview” recently held their Annual Sale and Barbeque, raising an amazing £1,931.00 for the Service Users who attend Bayview Centre in Bangor.
The money raised will go directly towards purchasing new resources for the centre and funding outings, ensuring service users continue to enjoy a wide variety of activities and experiences.
The event featured a fantastic range of stalls, including flower arrangements, bakery and savouries, crafts, paintings, toys, bric-a-brac and a lively tombola. Visitors also enjoyed a barbeque outdoors and refreshments indoors, making it a fun-filled day for everyone who attended.
The South Eastern Trust’s Bayview Centre Manager, Lynn McQuillan, expressed her thanks to all those who supported the event and said, “Our Annual Sale and Barbeque is an opportunity for families to come along to the centre and see first-hand what takes place here. Items made by our Service Users are on sale, so their families and loved ones get to see the wonderful creations and the finished products.
“ It brings us closer together with families too, while we often talk to them on the phone, this event allows us to meet face-to-face, have good conversations and strengthen rapport and engagement. I want to thank everyone who donated and came along to support us, it really makes a difference.”
