Kind Donation Brings Colour and Creativity to Ulster Hospital Children’s Unit

5th January 2026

The Ulster Hospital Children’s Unit has received a very kind donation of Disney paint by numbers kits from InPost, Belfast, helping to bring creativity, fun and distraction to children and young people.

The kits will be distributed to patients throughout the year, providing an enjoyable activity for children during their time in hospital. Being in hospital can be an anxious experience for many young people and activities such as these can play an important role in helping to reduce stress, encourage creativity and provide a welcome distraction during their stay.

The donation will ensure that children and young people have something fun and engaging to focus on, helping to brighten their day while receiving care.

South Eastern Trust, Paediatric Lead Nurse, Karen Orr, thanked InPost for their generous support and said, “We are extremely grateful to InPost, Belfast for this thoughtful donation. Being in hospital can be a worrying time for children and their families and having something creative and enjoyable to do can make a real difference.

“The Disney paint by numbers kits will provide fun, comfort and a welcome distraction for our patients, helping to bring some colour and smiles during their stay.”
