Service Users from Lisburn Adult Resource Centre have presented a cheque for £422 to local charity Tiny Life, following a successful fundraising coffee morning.
Each year, Service Users and staff at Lisburn Assessment & Resource Centre come together to host a coffee morning, selecting a nominated charity to receive the proceeds raised. This year, they chose Tiny Life in recognition of the vital support the charity provides to families of premature and vulnerable babies.
The decision held particular significance for the group, as Tiny Life had recently supported a colleague following the premature birth of her baby. The care, guidance and practical help offered during that time made a lasting impact, inspiring Service Users and staff to give something back.
Speaking about the fundraiser, South Eastern Trust, Senior Day Care Worker at Lisburn Adult Resource Centre, Mandy Glasgow said, “We were so happy to be able to support Tiny Life. Hearing first-hand about the support they provide to families really meant a lot to us. It was important for everyone here to do something positive to give back and show our appreciation for the invaluable work they do.”
