South Eastern Trust, Medical Secretary, Elaine Crothers has retired after an outstanding 40 years of service, marking the end of a remarkable career at the Ulster Hospital.
Elaine has been a central and much-valued member of the Fracture Service for many years and has played a vital role in supporting patients and staff. Known for her professionalism, warmth and exceptional organisational skills, Elaine has consistently maintained the highest standards of care and administration.
Throughout her career, Elaine coordinated Fracture Clinics, Orthopaedic Clinics and the Regional Congenital Clinic, helping to organise and support the treatment of many patients. She has been widely respected by both senior and junior medical staff and has been greatly appreciated by patients for her kindness and efficiency.
South Eastern Trust, Admin Team Lead, Shannon Murray, paid tribute to Elaine’s contribution and said, “Elaine has been the first point of contact for so many patients over the years and she will be sorely missed by Consultants, Nurses, Admin staff and many patients. I would like to wish Elaine a very happy and well-earned retirement.”
