A group of ten Master’s Nursing students from the University of San Diego, along with two accompanying faculty members, recently visited the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald as part of their global health policy course.
During their visit, the students had the unique opportunity to explore various wards and departments, gaining invaluable insights into Northern Ireland’s healthcare practices in comparison to the American healthcare system. The visit provided an understanding of the diverse approach to healthcare delivery across different regions.
The students took the time to engage with healthcare professionals and staff at the Ulster Hospital and reflected on how much there is to learn from each other.
Assistant Director of Nursing & Workforce, Roisin Devlin who hosted the visit said, “This was an excellent opportunity to showcase the great work being carried out by Nursing and Midwifery staff across the Trust. Our American colleagues were really impressed with the compassionate care demonstrated and the friendly welcome they received from Northern Ireland Nursing and Midwifery staff.”
