“It was lovely to be able to relax and meet other Foster Carers.” These are the words of Foster Carer Jayne Scott as the Grove Foster Carer Support Group at the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust hosted a ‘bring your own basket’ event at Ballynahinch’s Grove House.
The event provided Foster Carers a chance to chat and connect and gain helpful information about fostering, by embracing all things horticultural, as those who attended learnt how to fill planters and hanging baskets from expert Martin Burns.
As those in attendance got to work, Jayne described how she will definitely be signing up for future group events. “This is our second year in a row and it is not often you get to socialise with other Foster Carers. It was a great evening!”
