Staff at the South Eastern Trust’s Northfield House in Donaghadee held a Sponsored Spin event to raise awareness and help support those affected by Huntington’s Disease.
Through the combined efforts of colleagues and visitors, the event raised an incredible £2,026 for Huntington’s Disease Northern Ireland.
The Sponsored Spin took place from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, with staff taking turns on a spin bike throughout the day. Staff also ran a bake sale, offering tea, coffee and buns to help raise funds.
Northfield House Care Assistant, Toni Strain explained, “We wanted to do our bit to show our support for this great cause and to those living with this illness. Everyone got involved, whether cycling, baking, or donating and the response from staff and the community was amazing.
“We are thrilled to have raised such a fantastic amount to support Huntington’s Disease Northern Ireland.”
