South Eastern Trust Staff Nurse, Anna Beattie has been busy baking up a storm with a cake sale for staff and visitors, raising vital funds for Bliss Baby Charity which supports babies who are born prematurely or sick. The cake sale proved to be a huge success, raising an impressive £1,100.
Not only did Anna prepare a delicious selection of cupcakes, cakes and cookies for the fundraiser, she is also preparing to balance her bake sales with marathon miles as she trains for the London Marathon in April next year, where she will run in support of Bliss.
Anna explained, “I have to fundraise £3,000 to run the marathon for Bliss next year and so far have raised a total of £2,180. I plan to host another bake sale in the New Year.
“I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who purchased on the day, we sold out in one hour! I am looking forward to running for Bliss at such a landmark event that is the London Marathon.”
