Forget Me Not Group Joins Helen’s Baywatch Sea Swim to Honour Babies Gone Too Soon

21st October 2026

The Forget Me Not Focus Group came together with Helens Baywatch members to take part in a sea swim to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week, in a reflective practice to remember babies who are forever loved.

The sun shone as parents and members of the sea swim group ventured into the water, supporting one another and those parents who have experienced the heartbreak of losing a baby before or after birth.

Forget Me Not Mum, Grace Coutts, whose precious daughter Rosa was born sleeping in 2019, shared how the experience was a chance to create moments of togetherness, reflection and remembrance.

Grace said, “The sun was shining brightly for our babies as The Forget Me Not Bereaved Parents Liaison Group swam at Helen’s Bay with the amazing Helens Bay Watchers to raise awareness on Baby Loss Awareness Week. The Labyrinth Collective also made a beautiful labyrinth walk for us in the sand too, so we could take time to slow down and remember our precious babies gone too soon.”

South Eastern Trust, Bereavement Midwife, Jacqueline Dorrian described the morning as an opportunity for parents to come together. Jacqueline added, “I want to say thank you to Helens Baywatch and the Labyrinth Collective for creating a reflective walk on the sand for our parents.

“Baby Loss Awareness Week is an important time to acknowledge the grief of bereaved parents and families, encourage conversations and highlight the importance of compassion, understanding and support.”
