A Remarkable Milestone as Ulster Hospital Ward Clerk Retires After 45 Years of Dedication

A much-loved member of staff has retired from the South Eastern Trust after dedicating an incredible 45 years of service as a Ward Clerk supporting patients, families and colleagues across Maternity and Paediatric Wards.

Throughout her career, Anne Reynolds-Walls became a familiar and reassuring presence to generations of parents, children and staff. Her professionalism, warmth and unwavering commitment helped ensure the smooth running of busy hospital wards while providing a friendly welcome to everyone who came through the doors.

Reflecting on her retirement, Anne said, “It has been a privilege to spend my career working in the Trust. I have been fortunate to work alongside so many wonderful colleagues and to meet countless patients and families over the years. I have made lifelong friendships and have so many happy memories that I will always treasure. While I will miss the people, I am looking forward to spending more time with my family and enjoying the next chapter.”

Paying tribute to Anne’s remarkable contribution, Paediatric Operational Manager, Tracey Erskine stated, “Anne has been an exceptional member of our team for 45 years. Her dedication, compassion and commitment have made a lasting difference to patients, families and colleagues. She has been a constant source of support, knowledge and kindness and her presence will be greatly missed.
