Downe Hospital Mental Health Team Steps Up For Tinylife Fundraising Challenge

2nd July 2026

The Inpatient Mental Health Team at the Downe Hospital has completed a two-week step challenge, raising an impressive £630 for charity, TinyLife.

The Team took on a range of daily step targets throughout the challenge and the initiative encouraged staff to get active, support each other and raise vital funds for TinyLife, a charity that provides support to premature and vulnerable babies and their families across Northern Ireland.

South Eastern Trust, Head of Service, Mental Health and Dementia and Professional Lead, Paula Brannigan praised the Team for their commitment and enthusiasm throughout the challenge.

Paula said, “I am incredibly proud of the Team for taking part in this fundraising challenge. It was a fantastic way to promote health and wellbeing, build Team spirit and raise money for such an important cause.

“The dedication shown by everyone involved, completing daily step targets and encouraging each other along the way, really demonstrates the compassion and Teamwork that exists within our Mental Health Service.

“The Downe Hospital Inpatient Mental Health Team would like to thank everyone who contributed and supported the fundraising challenge.”
