Children and young people from Bangor’s Lakewood Centre for Young People put their pens down and celebrated the end of school term with a presentation to mark their educational achievements.
The awards ceremony showcased the fantastic accomplishments of the young people over the past year.
Assistant Director at Lakewood, Residential and Leaving Care Services Marie-Louise Sloan explained how the ceremony emphasises the, “Importance of creating a culture of recognition, encouragement, and support for our young people to help them recognise their potential.”
“This is one of the highlights of the academic year. As Corporate Parents it is our duty to ensure children in our care are provided with educational opportunities that will support them as they prepare to transition back to their communities. I am proud to see each of our children’s hard work acknowledged and celebrated.”
