With Measles cases on the rise across the United Kingdom, the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust has launched a Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) catch-up campaign “MMR – Are you protected? Double Dose Vaccine: Triple Protection.”
The campaign is specifically targeting children and young people up to the age of 25 who have not yet received both doses of the MMR vaccine, providing an opportunity to catch up on MMR vaccinations in order to help prevent the spread of contagious diseases.
If you have not yet received both doses of the MMR vaccine, you will receive a letter inviting you to attend a vaccination clinic in the South Eastern Trust area.
School Nursing Teams will also be visiting post primary schools to offer vaccinations. This approach ensures accessibility for young people within an educational setting.
Those aged between 12 months – 5 years will be asked to attend for vaccination by their GP.
Clinics are available for those aged 6 -25 years.
Online booking is available at the following link – https://vaccinations.covid-19.hscni.net/booking
A second dose will be offered four weeks after your first vaccine.
A number of walk-in appointments are also available at the following locations:
Ulster Hospital, Upper Newtownards Road, Dundonald
Saturday 6 April 2024 – 10am – 2pm
Please note children under the age of 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
