Bangor’s Ravara Court’s residents and staff donned their ‘Blue Suede Shoes’ to celebrate Elvis Presley’s diamond 90th birthday which was marked on Wednesday 8 January by fans all over the world.
Affectionately nicknamed by devotees as the ‘The King of Rock and Roll’, residents took part in an American themed day with an Elvis quiz and enjoyed slices of cake as part of the festivities.
Ravara Court Manager Ashley Collins shared how the staff and tenants had a “fabulous day.”
“We celebrated Elvis’ birthday in true rock and roll style with decorations and all the classic Elvis music. We had an Elvis quiz, followed by cheeseburgers and milkshakes.”
Ashley continued, “The atmosphere was electric as staff and our residents had a fabulous day and I want to say a massive thanks to the Ravara staff team. It really was a day full of fun!”
