The Transport Department at the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust has once again been recognised for its outstanding commitment to safety, efficiency and sustainability, receiving the prestigious Logistics UK ‘Van Excellence’ award for the ninth year in a row.

The South Eastern Trust continues to be the only public sector organisation in Northern Ireland to hold this highly respected accreditation and is one of just three businesses or organisations in Northern Ireland to achieve this status, demonstrating the Transport Department’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards in van fleet management.

The ‘Van Excellence’ award, bestowed annually by Logistics UK, recognises organisations that uphold exemplary standards in van operation. It highlights the commitment of recipients to best practices in road safety, environmental responsibility and operational efficiency.

Richard Walker, Transport Service Lead at the South Eastern Trust, expressed his pride in the team’s achievement, stating “This award is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our Transport Department. To receive this accreditation for the ninth consecutive year is a remarkable accomplishment, reflecting our ongoing commitment to the highest standards in van operation.

“Logistics UK’s ‘Van Excellence’ award is widely regarded as a symbol of excellence in the transportation industry and we are incredibly proud to be recognised once again.”
