Spirit of Christmas to set out its Stall at Ards Hospital

12th November 2024

The artistic talents of Ards Hospital Outpatient staff will be on display as part of its very first Christmas Craft Fair. Those looking for a unique Christmas gift can browse at their leisure at the Hospital’s QIIC Centre on Saturday 23 November from 10am-2pm.

Ards Community Hospital Staff Nurse Julie Maxwell said all are welcome to the festive fayre and families might even catch a glimpse of Santa himself.

“We are delighted to host the first of a kind community event here in the QIIC Centre in the Hospital. The fair is also unique as the crafters are our very own and very talented South Eastern Trust staff. We will have over 20 stalls on the day, a ballot and even a Santa walkabout.”

Julie continued, “We decided to create this event as a way to support The Barn Animal Rescue which is a haven for animals in need and which we have an affinity with through a patient.

“We hope the Craft Fair will be a tremendous success for the charity and also a way to connect with our colleagues and community and a chance to show off the talents of our staff as the countdown to Christmas gets underway.”
