Staff, patients and visitors were treated to a flippin’ indulgent Tuesday morning treat as South Eastern Trust staff served up a mouth-watering array of freshly made pancakes.
As part of the tradition of celebrating Pancake Tuesday, stacks of sweet and savoury treats were on offer to mark the occasion at the Ulster Hospital, Lagan Valley and Downe Hospital’s.
The simple, traditional sprinkle of sugar and lemon was on the menu but you could also opt for, fresh berries, cream, chocolate spread or stacks of streaky bacon with Maple syrup.
As the queues continued to build, Ulster Hospital Café Connect Retail Manager Devorah Hernandez said, “Pancake Tuesday is going really well today, we have plenty of toppings to choose from. People are really enjoying it this morning, everyone seems to be happy and relishing what is on offer!”
