A group of cyclists from the Ulster Hospital’s Care of the Elderly Team has cycled an incredible 100km as part of the Bangor Coastal Challenge, to highlight the work of the charity Cycle Against Suicide.
Speciality Doctor Niall Perry explained why the team decided to take part in the challenge. “The North Down Cycling Club chose Cycle Against Suicide as their charity partner. The Care of the Elderly Team decided to club together to take part, which was also a great opportunity for some team building. Luckily we also had the weather on our side!”
With the miles around the peninsula in the bank, Niall said the group crossed the finish line and “had a well-earned feed afterwards.”
Undaunted by cycling an amazing 100km, Niall added, “Most of us have been back on our bikes already!”
