The South Eastern Trust Independent Sector Transfer and Finance Teams have been awarded the coveted Department of Health’s High Performance Elective Award.
This recognition celebrates their outstanding dedication and commitment ensuring patients receive timely, safe and effective care through Independent Sector (IS) providers. They play a critical role in managing the entire patient pathway, from referral and diagnostics to treatment and follow-up, ensuring seamless coordination and communication between multiple providers, clinical teams and General Practitioners.
Beyond patient care, the IS Team also plays a crucial role in financial stewardship, working closely with Trust finance colleagues to ensure that IS spending remains within allocated budgets while maximising the efficiency of resources. Their ability to balance clinical and financial priorities demonstrates a deep understanding of healthcare management and a commitment to sustainability.
