The Lead Nurse at the Vaccination Centre in the Ulster Hospital is delighted with the response to the South Eastern Trust’s Winter Walk-In campaign.

Pauline Wilson says, “We’ve had a great uptake today at our Winter Walk-In clinics for first and second dose Pifzer vaccines, as well as the booster jabs for those over 40.”

“It has been very encouraging to see people of all ages, walk through the doors and we thank everyone that has come forward today at the Ulster Hospital Acute Services Block and Lisburn Primary and Community Care Centre at Lagan Valley Hospital.”

“This has been and continues to be a huge team effort, as we work alongside the other Trusts, our GPs and our community pharmacists ensuring that we administer as many vaccines as possible over the coming weeks.”

Pauline Wilson added, “Our experienced teams of vaccinators will be back next week Monday-Friday, 9.30am-3pm at both the Ulster Hospital and the Lisburn Primary and Community Care Centre. From Monday 29th November we will have evening and weekend slots available. The best way the public can help us alleviate the pressures on our hospitals as we head into Winter is to get vaccinated and their booster if eligible.”
