Witches, a good few wizards and Muggles recently converged at Bangor’s Balloo Training and Resource Centre to celebrate their Harry Potter themed month.
Registered Manager at the Resource Centre Susin Reid, described how service users “thoroughly enjoyed the theme” and how Harry’s nemesis, Draco Malfoy’s eagle owl even paid the Centre a special visit. “Our service users got involved in every aspect of the day which made it a themed month to remember,” said Susin. “They created their own paper mache iconic Sorting Hat, tried out their skills at wand making and there was even some ‘Mandrake’ planting in Professor Sprout’s Herbology class!”
