Annual Streamvale Farm Day Brings Together Trust’s Forget Me Not Families

10th June 2026

Families who have suffered the loss of a baby or child before or after birth, attended the now annual Forget Me Not Family Fun Day, for a special day of remembrance, connection and support.

The event brought families from across the South Eastern Trust’s bereaved parents’ focus group, in a welcoming and peaceful environment which provided an opportunity to remember and reflect on the loss of their baby.

The event, held at Streamvale Farm, gave children the chance to explore the farm, learn about the animals and take part in a range of activities including poignant forget-me-not seed planting.

A ‘Bubbles of Love’ event also took place, as families sent a ‘bubble of love’ to their loved one in heaven.

Remembering her precious baby girl Chloe, Sharon McClure attended the event with her family. Sharon said, “It was a truly touching and peaceful day. The children were so happy with the crafts and planting forget-me-not seeds. The Bubbles of Love moment was really moving as it had a verse, ‘With these bubbles blown above, we send you all our love’, it was really special as we remembered Chloe and all the other little ones who gained their wings. The whole atmosphere was relaxed, gentle and supportive.”

South Eastern Trust, Bereavement Midwife, Jacqueline Dorrian added, “The Forget Me Not Annual Family Fun Day is a very special date in the calendar. It is a day for children to spend time with their families, play and create memories of their sibling who have sadly passed away.

“Importantly, it also gives them the opportunity to meet others who have been through a similar situation. It is very much a day for children and their parents to make lasting memories together.”
