The Paediatric Ward at The Ulster Hospital filled its Easter basket this week as staff received a donation of chocolate eggs and rainbow popcorn from Belfast based Brook Street recruitment agency.
This year, Brook Street worked with Margaret Blackwood, Assistant Manager Consumer Relationships, Lloyd’s Bank to co-ordinate the collection and distribution of Easter eggs to children in the Ulster Hospital and the Friends of Cancer Centre within the Royal Victoria Hospital.
The agency have been making their annual Easter visits to local children’s charities, hospices, and hospitals for the past 20 years.
Brook Street’s Senior Recruiter Siobhan Hanna said the agency, “would like to acknowledge the extremely generous staff of Lloyd’s Banking Group who have contributed vast amounts of Easter eggs every year including this one.”
Siobhan added, “We have been incredibly lucky to have been able to partner with Lloyd’s Banking Group in Belfast, who have always been very generous along with all of our clients, with their donations of Easter eggs for the children. The children will also get to enjoy additional treats this year which have been very kindly donated by Gavin McShane’s Little Popcorn Shop in Lisburn.”
Ulster Hospital Healthcare Play Specialist Sharon Pauley said, “We are delighted with this donation and the lovely rainbow popcorn. We want to say a big thank you to Brook Street and Lloyd’s Banking Group for the kind donation. The eggs and popcorn will be given out to some of our patients in our unit, so they will be able to enjoy some nice wee treats in the run up to Easter. We always do Easter arts and crafts and this is a way to give nice treats as well.”
